Doreen Hunter

Growing up in the city of Detroit, Doreen basked in the delight of Sunday drives in some of the city’s most prominent areas, including the historic Boston-Edison district, Palmer Woods, and Indian Village, all where she has clients today. Detroit, in fact, boasted beautiful architecture in many of its neighborhoods and it was her fascination with these details that called her to question, “Who lives behind these doors and what does it look like on the inside?”

Doreen immersed herself into the world of design with a major in interior design at Central Michigan University. She is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Michigan Chapter, where she currently serves as the Financial Director and is serving as the first African American in the role of President-Elect for the 2022-2023 membership year.

Living in Detroit with an eye for appreciating striking architecture with nicely appointed interiors, Doreen honed in her natural ability to draw geometric, isometric, and perspective views to make herself an acclaimed interior designer across the States. She possesses many years of experience and can intently discern her client’s desires, even serving as a guide when the client may not have a clear vision. She is a confident and responsible decision-maker with a reputation for producing quality and a finished product. Doreen says, “Design is designing no matter if it’s residential, commercial, hospitality, or retail projects, as long as I meet and/or exceed the client’s expectations and design principles.”
